AMD quietly updated today its lineup of A-Series APUs for notebook computers with seven new models. Most of these feature slightly improved specs compared to the chips they will replace, but other than that no major changes were brought to the chips.
The new APUs are the A8-3550MX, A8-3520M, A6-3430MX, A6-3420M, A4-330MX, A4-3320M and A4-3305M and apart from the last of these models all the chip have their base and Turbo Core frequencies boosted by 100MHz while the rest of the CPU features were left intact.
The A4-3305M on the other hand has the same operating frequencies as the A4-3300M it replaces, but it comes with just 1MB of cache compared with the 2MB in the 3300M and has a less powerful built-in GPU. To make up for this, AMD has increased the graphics core frequency from 444MHz to 593MHz, but we doubt this will bring an increase in performance when compared to the A4-3300M.
You can check out the full specs of the new AMD mobile APUs in the table bellow.
