If you are an enthusiast, you definitely should be familiar with Kingston’s HyperX product range. Over the years, this brand has been used by the company for some of its fastest DDR kits and USB Flash drives. However, until recently, there was something missing from the HyperX line, namely an USB 3.0 Flash dongle. Aware of this problem, Kingston went to work to develop such a drive and the end result was the Data Traveler HyperX USB 3.0 Flash drive that we are going to take a look at today.

AMD’s Radeon HD 7970 has already proven to be a great overclocker, but even those of us that know about its potential are sometimes surprised by the results AMD’s graphics card can achieve. Recently, during an overclocking contest which took place in China, a HIS Radeon HD 7970 was pushed to 1.32GHz. While this might not sound a lot like much compared to Shamino’s 1.7GHz GPU clock, the surprise lies in the fact that this overclock was achieved using air cooling alone.

The ever more popular mini-ITX gaming scene has received a new addition recently with Alienware's release of the X51. Built inside a case the same size as that of early Xbox consoles, the X51 is powered by Intel Sandy Bridge processors, from the Core i3, i5 and i7 ranges, and Nvidia graphics cards.

The server version of Sandy Bridge-E CPUs may not be official yet, but Intel is already working on their successors, which will use the Ivy Bridge-EP architecture. These chips will pack up to 10 cores and are fabricated using 22nm process technology in order to keep power consumption and temperatures in check.

In just a few days from now, AMD’s Radeon HD 7970 will start reaching retail stores. Soon after, the HD 7950 will arrive featuring a GPU derived from the same Tahiti XT core, bringing the GCN architecture to a lower price point. Thanks to their performance, both solutions should prove to be highly popular among enthusiasts and many of these will be interested in pairing their new video card with a more efficient third-party cooler. Fortunately, such solution have already been announced by manufacturers and will become available soon.

Kingston HyperX Memory Takes DDR3 World Record

AMD's FX-8150 CPU managed to establish a new world record this weekend when equipped with Kingston HyperX memory achieved the highest DDR3 speed recorded to date, running at 3600.1MHz data rate. AMD quietly updated today its lineup of A-Series APUs for notebook computers with seven new models. Most of these feature slightly improved specs compared to the chips they will replace, but other than that no major changes were brought to the chips.
